Define a project
Necessary elements to make a choix between filter and complete installation of dust removal

Regardless of the type of project :

- Type of equipment de-dusted (dryer, crusher, separator, conveyor belt, elevator, vibrating screen, silo...)
- Operating temperature and maximum temperature
- Product
- Product granulometry
- Product properties: acid, base, clogging, abrasive, hygroscopic, pyrophoric...
- Bulk density of the product (+ specific density for cyclones)
- If explosive dust: KST (bar.m/s) and Pmax (bar) of the product, ATEX installation zone (0, 1, 2, 20, 21, 22)
- Filter use: continuous operation, frequent stops (daily, weekly, monthly...)
- Compressed air pressure available (dry, oil-free)
- Filter installation: interior/exterior (height and available space if indoors)
- Provide a maximum of elements to facilitate the installation (installation plan, building plan, photos)
- Site conditions (wind, snow, earthquake, aggressive environment...)
- Calculation or manufacture code if required (CODAP, ASME, EN13445, EN14460...)
- Materials required/prohibited in filter boilermaking
- Requested service limit: filter with accessories (frame, ladder, safety guardrail, rotary valve), turn-key with ductwork + fan + assembly

Additional information for process application (dryer, crusher, separator, furnace...):

- Gas or air flow to be processed: in m³/h or Nm³/h or kg/h of dry air + kg/h of water
- Type of gas to be processed (% H2O in particular if dryer, %NOx, %SOx, %HCl,… )
- Vacuum at the equipment filter inlet or outlet
- Flow of product processed
- Granulometry of the product processed

Additional information for a simple dust removal installation:

- Type of equipment to be de-dusted
- Conveyor belt: width, speed (m/s), drop height, sealed?
- Elevator: section Lxl, height
- Vibrating screen: section Lxl or Ø
- Screw: Ø, length
- Silo, fed by:
  • Pneumatic transport (truck or other), airflow at atmospheric pressure
  • Other feed: screw, elevator, conveyor belt
- Bulk loading chutes: Øint/ext of the double envelope
- Bagging machine: capacity / Ø of the connection if provided by the machine manufacturer
- Type of configuration requested for the dust removal equipment: single filter with ductwork, independent filters

Additional information for filter replacement:

-Filtering surface of the existing filter + possible remarks on dimensioning (pressure loss of existing filter too high, frequency of replacement of the bags, possible malfunctions)

- Vacuum at the filter inlet or outlet of the equipment to be de-dusted/ pressure resistance of the existing filter
